Nancy’s sea breezes
In this art quilt, Nancy Smith incorporated a finished button collage card into this
joyous mixed media beauty. The image on the left is a closeup showcasing much of the mixed media aspects, including the original EYembellishment collage, textured copper scrap, scrim, and coiled wire. On the right, is the entire piece. Click on photo to enlarge. For me, this piece feels like a satisfying immersion at the sea. A lovely day cruise with cool breezes, quiet calm, and the company of those we love.
Nancy has graciously loaned us this quilt to be seen in person at the Long Beach IQF, later this month.
