With one Voice
My Sunday’s post should have conveyed my empty-nest feelings with the whole group of sibling sock creatures traveling to the far off wonders of Michigan. This giddiness and fright has been made possible through the talented and generous Fibra Artysta, who will be known hence as Auntie Lynn by the Siblings. Lynn is curating the [...]
Hearts and witches
Well the girls are busy at the quilt show in Long Beach so I’ll just post a view of the ceramic buttons on the bottom of the kiln that I still have yet to unload. Hearts and flying witches oh my… Bubba
Just one of those days
Well it’s Michele’s brother “Bubba” that’s not my real name but it sounds cool. Michele got stung by a wasp then fell and hurt her arm and hand and tried to bust her ribs all within one hour. Doc says she is fine just a little sore. All that just to get out of driving [...]

Newly made puppy buttons, getting their first firing at about 1987 degrees Fahrenheit. They will take 8.5 hours to fire, and one full day after that to cool down. Then they will be glazed in white and black glazes, and be shiny and beautiful, awaiting exciting applications on joyful creations. In the same kiln load [...]

Eyeballs, shirts, and pants
If there is anyone out there that likes eyeballs as much as I do, I’d love to hear from you. How cute are these little shirts and pants? But not to be outdone, the Texas Longhorn Martini tile. An idea I’m pursuing for the Make It University at the Houston International Quilt Festival in October, [...]
morning kiln opening
Already a month behind, trying to get ready for Long Beach IQF. So it’s time to make lots of new, shiny, pretties. We are fulfilling the requests to have many single buttons, and we will still have the finished “button-cards” available. Also, we are presenting a mixed mosaic class for the Make It University. If [...]
quilted big fatty mugs
You can sleep under a patchwork quilt, but how about drinking from one? Doesn’t this kiln load look like a giant easter basket full of patchwork painted jumbo mugs? It does to me. Their extra large size makes them fabulous for baked casseroles, layered desserts, or belly busting root-beer floats. Available by special order only [...]
Kiln opening April 1st
Caffeine, cowboys, saints, bingo, loteria cards, and assorted craziness coming out of the kiln. I’m hoping for 2 more batches before the Chicago International Quilt Show in less than 2 weeks. yikes, I’m getting nervous. But we have a great spot in the Make it University area, we’re surrounded by fabulous artists, and we are [...]
