Building a better website

building the better blog

Big splurge for me these days is any purchase other than gasoline. I treated myself to the summer issue of Somerset studio’s Artful Blogging. Already I’m learning about posting better pictures. This is very exciting.

Much angst last week with the problems on our web-sites. Bubba finally solved the problems by upgrading wordpress. The benefit of relearning this program has led to him discovering a more user friendly path to reaching our on-line-purchasing goal. I will be scanning button cards and posting them in the new store. The goal is to be up my Monday. For real! no more hedging.

The featured card is my way of bringing this together: designing a complete web-site, and imagining where I can take it from here. Thanks for your patience. love (and potato salad at the barbecue)

making music

how do you make music?

tickling the kids, cats purring, dogs sassing, paintbrush shushing on canvas, sewing needle in motion, sizzles from the wok, Joplin from the stereo. How do you make music? The soul needs it as much as the ear. Don’t forget to celebrate the magical qualities of the everyday, ordinary, music. Feed your soul.

Alex Anderson 1st in booth

TT and Alex Anderson in Chicago

An honor: personable and talented Alex Anderson was the first customer in our booth in Chicago on preview night. Here she is with my mama-san, (TT is on the left). To add to her glowing and generous personality, Alex has the most beautiful complexion I have ever seen. I am so jealous. See Alex at: Thequiltshow.com. Joining Alex in our tiny space was our cherished friend, Nancy Smith of Great American Quilt Factory here in Denver Colorado. Nancy is our guiding angel of encouragement and continues to impress us with her willingness to try new things. Thank you for all things good and yummy, lots of love, michele
