Surface design exchange

Surface desing

A Good Challenge. I’ve mentioned before how much I need challenges, without them I’d be forever in a creation rut.

On our play date last Wednesday, Betsy T. brought examples from a group she exchanges fiberart postcards with. I was so excited. What a rut buster; plus, you would have 5 miniature works of art in exchange for your 5. Five is a beautiful number; it is manageable and allows for just the right amount of dedication, without being overwhelming.

Time to put my sew creative shingle back out and get busy. Thank you Betsy for sharing, you’ve lit my fire. love (and a fabric stash)

making music

how do you make music?

tickling the kids, cats purring, dogs sassing, paintbrush shushing on canvas, sewing needle in motion, sizzles from the wok, Joplin from the stereo. How do you make music? The soul needs it as much as the ear. Don’t forget to celebrate the magical qualities of the everyday, ordinary, music. Feed your soul.
